This soup is highly nutritious with beef soup and variety of vegetables in it. Simmering the beef and adding spice paste creates a rich and savoury broth

Serve 5

Ingredients
Water, boiled
250 gr beef, cubed
2 whole potatoes, cut into 1 cm cubes
4 carrots, obliquely cut into medium size
10 green beans, obliquely cut into medium size
2 cabbage leaves, coarsely chopped
1 spring onion, cut into 5 cm pieces
1 stalk celery, thinly sliced
1 tomato, cut into medium-sized cubes
Salt
Sugar

Spice Paste
½ teaspoon whole pepper
5 cloves garlic
3 shallots

Steps
1. Add beef into a pot of hot boiling water and add a pinch of salt then turn heat down and simmer for around 1 hour. Take out beef, and set aside. Strain the broth.
2. Sauté the spice paste until fragrant. Remove from heat.
3. Add beef back into the broth. Add potatoes and carrots along with sautéd spice. Cook until potatoes and carrots are tender but still firm.
4. Add green beans, cabbage then spring onion, celery, and tomato. Cook until all vegetables are tender. Add salt and sugar to taste. Remove from heat.
5. Serve soup warm with a sprinkle of fried shallots.

Sup Daging

Kaldu sup daging ini terasa kental dan sedap karena daging direbus bersama bumbu halus secara perlahan di atas api kecil

Porsi 5 orang

Bahan
Air, rebus
250 gram daging sapi, bersihkan
2 kentang, potong dadu 1×1 cm
4 wortel, potong melintang sedang
10 buncis, potong-potong 2 cm
2 lembar kol, potong-porong
1 batang daun bawang, potong 5 cm
1 batang seledri, iris halus
1 buah tomat, potong kotak sedang
Garam
Gula pasir

Bumbu Halus
½ sendok teh merica
5 siung bawang putih
3 butir bawang merah

Caranya
1. Rebus daging sapi bersama 1 sendok teh garam. Rebus kurang lebih 1 jam dengan api kecil, angkat. Saring.
2. Tumis bumbu halus hingga harum. Angkat.
3. Masak daging sapi dengan air rebusannya yang telah disaring, bersama kentang, wortel dan bumbu tumis hingga kentang dan wortel agak empuk.
4. Tambahkan buncis, kol, daun bawang, seledri, dan tomat, masak hingga semua sayuran empuk. Bubuhi garam dan gula sesuai selera. Didihkan kembali. Angkat.
5. Sajikan hangat dengan taburan bawang goreng.
